Tongue Tie North East
A Tongue Tie is when a thin membrane of skin (lingual frenulum) attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth or the lower gum ridge, which restricts the tongue’s movement. It can be attached at the very back of the tongue (posterior) in the middle or at the very front tip of the tongue (anterior). The procedure to divide a baby’s tongue tie is called Frenulotomy. The membrane under the tongue is divided to enable optimum tongue movement and function to help babies feed more effectively.

Water Babies Tyne & Wear
Baby swimming with Water Babies is an exciting, enriching experience for both you and your little one. Not only does it teach vital life skills, but it also enhances the way babies and toddlers learn other skills, too. No one else reaches our high standards of professionalism, and no one else works harder to make sure you and your little one feel happy and safe. And we always incorporate lots of bonding, fun and socialising, so you can be sure that a Water Baby is a happy baby!
Classes acrossTyne & Wear and Northumberland are run by Claire Bolingbroke who, after first bringing her daughter Lily to classes in Leeds, found she loved it so much that she switched from being a quietly-spoken clerk of the courts to becoming a vibrant host of high energy baby-swimming classes. But after all those years of whispering at work, her training did need to include shouting lesson plans over a busy main road to help pump up the volume!
In September 2005, Claire returned to her roots to set up Water Babies in Newcastle. We love the way she told us at the start, very firmly, that she never wanted to teach more than 300 babies. And now she teaches around 900!
The wonderfully enthusiastic Hilary & Kendel are the friendly voices in the office, while a team of highly qualified teachers – Sally, Lynn, Lynette, Clair, Kendel, Michelle M, Michelle K and Claire– completes the Water Babies crew!
They’d love to hear from you, so why not give them a call? You can find them on Facebook at Water Babies (Tyne & Wear), or join their Facebook Group where you’ll find a warm welcome waiting for you.
The Breastfeeding Box
Hi, I’m Sarah-Lou. I’m a trained Midwife, currently breastfeeding an adventurous toddler, and lucky to be surrounded by fantastic and supportive family and friends.
I decided to create The Breastfeeding Box after having my daughter in 2017; a good friend of mine put together a box of goodies as a gift for my baby-shower, all designed to help with the first few weeks of breastfeeding.
Although the products themselves were all very useful, it was what the box symbolised that meant so much to me. In those early days of breastfeeding, when I was questioning everything and had no idea whether I was doing it right, my friend became my midnight agony-aunt; the person who told me to keep going when I said I was giving up, the person who assured me that 6-hour cluster feeding was normal, and the person who constantly told me how great I was doing.
This is why I made The Breastfeeding Box. We are constantly told that it takes a village to raise a baby, but in today’s society where breastfeeding rates are low, it can sometimes be difficult to find others who understand the physical and emotional journey of breastfeeding.
The Breastfeeding Box is a symbol of mother-to-mother support, the perfect gifts to tell new parents that you are part of their village, and a celebration of the incredible experience and achievement that is breastfeeding.

Captured Keepsakes has been creating quality lifecastings and keepsake jewellery since 2009.
It was then that what had began as a mission to capture as many special moments in my own family’s life, soon became a passion (or some would say obsession!).
During the following years, I worked to develop my skills and knowledge and to find ways of bringing my creative ideas to life. After outgrowing my home studio in 2016, I opened the North East’s first (and only) dedicated lifecasting and keepsake jewellery studio, in Prudhoe, Northumberland. I am committed to providing a casting / keepsake experience like no other, as I believe that the casting / printing process can be as memorable as the product itself. I encourage you to take photographs of the process and relax with a coffee whilst I explain everything to you and capture your memories. Having two boys of my own I know how stressful it can be taking babies and children out and about and so have plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained! 🙂
Over the years I’ve built a reputation for providing quality bespoke keepsakes to lots of very happy parents, grandparents, families and dog owners over the years, with many of my commissions coming from previous customers and recommendations. Everything I create is made to your own requirements, ensuring you receive artwork and jewellery that you will truly treasure for years to come.
I also run various craft workshops for children and adults throughout the year. For details please see the ‘Events’ page.
Marsh Loves Mallow
Launched in 2018 by a lover of all things sweet and delicious! After a couple of years contemplating the business (who knows why it took me so long!), I decided to finally take the plunge and put artisan gourmet marshmallows on the map in the North East. We create marshmallowy (yes that’s a word) deliciousness for all occasions, whether it be for a high profile event, product launch or your upcoming wedding, or just when the mood takes you. We’ll be soon gracing a food market near you in the coming weekends, where you’ll be able to buy some of our favourite flavours, from zesty lemon and lime meringue to deliciously decadent dark chocolate. We aim to appeal to both male and female taste buds when it comes to our marshmallows. Anyways we hope to see you all soon – Marsh Loves Mallow xxx
My Dad always told me that you only ever borrow your children. Now I understand. In a few years’ time my little guy won’t want to sit on my lap. Play with my hair. Hang onto my leg as I cook tea. And although I still have a few years to go, I’m missing it already.
So I document everything. From his fingernails. To his eyelashes. The way he waddles. The way he sings. The way he trashes the house the moment I put the vacuum away. Through film and photography. I’m making time stand still.
And I would like to help you do the same.
My film and images will evoke the feelings of individual connections, warmth and love. I capture the simple gestures. The guidance, the games, the “looks”. The smallest moments. The songs, the twirls, the giggles. Precious time that can be so easily forgotten. All Unscripted.
So you may feel that this chapter of your story is not worth remembering. Perhaps your house is a mess. You want to lose a few pounds. You’re constantly knackered. But I can show you the beauty. Captured in film and images. That will last you a lifetime and beyond. To tell your children and your children’s children, the story of your EveryDay . . .
